Terms of service

These terms apply when you use www.fintog.com and the Fintog app at app.fintog.com (the "Service"), provided by Fintog ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you use the Service for a company, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it to these terms.

Your account

• You must be at least 18 and give accurate information.
• Keep your login details safe, and tell us promptly about any unauthorised use.
• The account owner is responsible for who they add to their company and for what those people do in the Service.

Fintog is a tool, not professional advice

Fintog helps you record transactions and prepare figures. It does not provide tax, legal, accounting or financial advice, and it does not replace a qualified professional.

You remain responsible for your books and statutory compliance. That includes checking all figures and filing accurate returns on time. The Service does not file returns on your behalf. Tax rates, thresholds and due dates shown in the Service may not reflect the latest rules, so please confirm them before relying on them.

AI features

Features such as document capture, bank statement entries and narration use AI and can produce wrong or incomplete results. Review all output before you rely on it. When you use these features, your documents and text are sent to our AI provider, as described in our privacy policy.

Your data

You own the data you put into the Service. You give us permission to host, process and transmit it as needed to provide the Service, including through the providers named in our privacy policy. You are responsible for your data being accurate and lawful, and for having the right to enter personal data about others. Keep your own copies of records you are legally required to retain.

Emails you send

When you email a voucher from the Service, you are responsible for its content and its recipients. Do not use this feature to send spam or anything unlawful.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything unlawful or fraudulent, including false invoices or records.
• Access another person's data without permission.
• Disrupt the Service, get around its limits or security, or probe it without our written permission.
• Copy or resell the Service, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows.

Fees

We have not published fees for the Service. If we introduce or change fees, we will tell you the amount and terms in advance, and you can stop using the Service if you do not accept them.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available and useful, but it may sometimes be interrupted. We may add, change or remove features, and we will try to give reasonable notice of changes that significantly affect you.

Our property

We own the Service, including its software, design and brand. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive right to use it, and no ownership.

Ending your use

You can stop using the Service at any time and can ask us to close your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or that creates a risk for us or others. Please export anything you need before closing an account. Our privacy policy explains how long data is retained.

Disclaimer

To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted operation.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit or data, or tax penalties and interest arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify account holders. If you continue using the Service after a change, you accept the updated terms.
